Do you have a Store or a showroom where I can view your products?
Yes, we will have a Store which opened on October 1, 2024 - visit us at 70 Tennyson St, Napier
Will the fabrics shrink when washed ?
All fabrics are tested before production starts but some of our styles may have a minor amount of shrinkage. Follow all care instructions which are available online or each garment has care instructions in the side seam . DO NOT use steam on any knit styles
Where are your garments made?
Design Emporium currently works with a manufacturing plant based in Waipawa,NZ and another based in Bali,Indonesia.
How do I care for my garment ?
All styles have care instructions sewn into the garment and the care details are stated on the style page. It is NOT recommended to use a clothes dryer for all of our styles as over-drying causes shrinkage
If the size is wrong can I get a refund or exchange ?
Yes, all our products can be refunded or exchanged. Refer to refunds and exchanges for details or Contact Design Emporium on 0272928214 to discuss what is required
What if an item is out of stock?
Most of the time we do not repeat styles. If we do there will be the option to pre-order. Delivery takes approx one week for pre-orders but sometimes vary due to factors outside Design Emporium’s control.
Do your products come with a guarantee?
Yes, all our products come with faulty goods guarantee – see returns and exchanges.
Do you offer an alteration service ?
Yes, all our full-priced products can be altered for FREE
Note: Once a garment is altered it can not be returned or exchanged.

Do you sell gift vouchers or gift cards?
Yes, we sell E-gift cards - see online
How can I pay for my order?
We accept payment by Debit and Credit Card (Visa) , GooglePay , ApplePay or you can spread your payments by using Afterpay
How secure are my credit card details if I use them online?
Shopping at www.designemporium.co.nz is safe. Our site, through Shopify, is protected by SSL encryption technology.
Do you ship to rural addresses?
Yes, we do deliver to rural addresses but these will incur a rural/delivery surcharge. We trust you will be honest at checkout and this will be applied to your cart when you tick the correct option.
Do you ship to PO Boxes or Private Bags?
No, for security reasons we only ship to a physical residential or business addresses.
Can I track my order?
Yes, once your order is dispatched you will receive an email notification with a tracking link.
Do you ship outside of New Zealand?
No - NZ only
How long does delivery take?
Orders placed before 10am will be processed and dispatched that day. Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays will be processed and dispatched the following business day.
Once orders are dispatched they take 1-3 days to reach main centres, and 2-4 days to reach everywhere else in the country. But this can sometimes vary due to factors outside Design Emporium’s control.
Does someone need to be home to accept my delivery?
There are two options at checkout for signature required or non-signature required . Please choose the correct option as if a parcel is lost it will be your responsibility to chase it up. If you know you are not going to be home you can grant the courier company authority to leave the items without a signature. Simply check this option at checkout and write in the comments section where you would like your items left.
